Virbac AMOXIRUM (amoxicillin) is broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue infections in both small and large animals.

INDICATIONS

• Respiratory Tract Infections: Pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, and tracheobronchitis.
• Genitourinary Tract Infections: Cystitis and other bacterial infections of the urinary tract.
• Skin & Soft Tissue Infections: Bacterial dermatitis, abscesses, lacerations, and infected wounds.
• Gastrointestinal Infections: Bacterial gastroenteritis.
• Livestock Applications: Specific high-dose formulations (such as AMOXIRUM 1.5g tablets) are indicated for large animals (e.g., cattle and livestock) to treat infections including mastitis.

ADMINISTRATION

• Dose: 1 tablet per 200 kg of body weight.
• Target Species: Cattle and large livestock.
• Contraindications: Do not administer to animals with a known history of penicillin or cephalosporin allergies.
• Potential Side Effects: Pets may occasionally experience mild side effects such as vomiting, loss of appetite, or diarrhea.
• Restriction: This medication is restricted for use by or on the order of a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) or licensed veterinarian.
